Ramadan at Kismet

Ramadan at Kismet is a month long community programme rooted in togetherness, care, and shared presence. Throughout the holy month, Kismet Café opens its doors every day to provide food, space, and meaningful moments for those observing Ramadan and for anyone seeking community during this time.

Founded as a community anchored café, Kismet continues its mission this Ramadan by offering a safe and welcoming third space where people can gather, reflect, and feel at home.

Our Intention

Ramadan is not meant to be experienced alone. Our intention is to create a space that reflects the social and communal nature of the month; a place where people can pray, learn, eat, rest, and grow together.

Kismet exists for those who may be far from family, new to the city, or simply looking for a consistent and welcoming place to observe Ramadan in community.

Daily Iftar and Programme

Every evening during Ramadan, Kismet Café will host daily iftars, open to the community.

Alongside this, the programme will include regular events, classes, and talks led by special guest speakers, with sessions taking place throughout the month, including late evening and midnight gatherings.

The programme is designed to be accessible and flexible, allowing people to attend regularly or drop in for individual sessions.

A Family Friendly Space

Families are fully welcome at Kismet. We will be hosting a dedicated children’s corner throughout Ramadan, with space for colouring, crafts, and drawing.

This ensures parents feel comfortable attending and participating, while children are included as part of the wider community experience.

Visit Us

Kismet Café is a welcoming space open throughout Ramadan. Whether you come alone or with family, once or often, you are welcome here.

Eid and Beyond

Our calendar does not end with the last fast of Ramadan. We will be hosting a large Eid celebration to mark the end of the month and continue gathering together.

Following Eid, Kismet will support communal fasting during the first six days of Shawwal. This encourages the Sunnah of fasting these days and provides an inclusive space for women who may be making up missed fasts from Ramadan, allowing them to do so alongside the community.

Stay Updated

Programme details, timings, and announcements for daily iftars, events, classes, and special guest speakers will be shared regularly.
